For me, there is no better, more universal window into our shared humanity than the photographic image. For over thirty years, that has been what has inspired me to capture indelible moments of life, whether through documentary photojournalism, sports photography, or life cycle events that include weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s and family portrait sessions. Capturing those enduring and compelling moments that connect us continues to bring me the greatest satisfaction.

I have been a photojournalist at The Journal News/USA Today Network for over thirty years. I have told the stories of our neighbors in the Lower Hudson Valley, the New York City region and beyond through my coverage of news, sports and features.

My body of work includes documenting the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center, the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah, several Presidential elections, the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., coverage of five World Series, and more recently, coverage of the coronavirus pandemic and the protests following the death of George Floyd.

I bring my photojournalistic and documentary sensibilities to my photography of life cycle events. In this way, I capture essential moments by observing and patiently waiting for these defining moments to reveal themselves.
